With text by Harlem Renaissance poet, Langston Hughes, and music by Countermeasure's Artistic Director, Aaron Jensen, Countermeasure experimented liberally – pushing the boundaries of traditional a cappella to create lifelike organs, synths, and percussion to support the low-key R&B vibe telling the story of loneliness, isolation, and reclamation.
